Carolyn's Busy Week 6

Carolyn has had quite a busy week 6 so here is her update for you!

I keep sleeping better and better.  For the most part my parents can now put me in my crib awake and I will go to sleep on my own.  Sometimes I want a little more attention but when I do go to sleep at night I am sleeping anywhere from 6-8 hours and during the day I am napping 2-3 hours assuming that the dog Jeffy doesn't wake me up barking at the mailman.

~~~~~ Butler Bulldogs~~~~~
We'll sing the Butler war song,
We'll give a fighting cry;
We'll fight the Butler battle--
Bulldogs ever do or die.
And in the glow of the victory firelight,
Hist'ry cannot deny
To add a page or two
For Butler's fighting crew
Beneath the Hoosier sky.
Mommy and daddy are already starting to talk to me about college... crazy isn't it?  I mean I am only 6 weeks old and they are already trying to influence which college I want to go to.  I made my first trip to Butler University to get some Butler gear for the games for March Madness (we had to get mom a new shirt too because she doesn't fit into any of hers yet! Sshhh don't tell her I told you!)  Here are some pics from my photo shoot as you can see from some of my facial expressions I wasn't really wanting to model, especially when mom put that stupid white bow on my head.  I may have slept through the game against Old Dominion (and missed that awesome buzzer beater shot) but I am sure I brought the dawgs some good luck!
~~~~~Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Noneman~~~~~
 Grandma and Grandpa Noneman came to visit from Arizona and even though they enjoyed seeing mom and dad, I was definitely the star of the show.  Besides going to the Badlands with dad for a day, I got lots of quality time with them.  See pictures below. (Yes, daddy gets to go off-roading despite ripping his bumper off last fall the first time he went.  It was part of the compensation package for getting rid of Cooper.  He gets to go until he causes damage greater than or equal to the bumper incident.)  Mom says I can't go off-roading until I am way older.

~~~~~ New Tricks~~~~~
There’s nought so welcome as a summer breeze
In the heat of the day to put you at ease
Or a nice hot bath, coming in from the cold
Is certainly worth it’s weight in gold
But the nicest of all is a baby’s first smile
That makes all the trauma of childbirth worth while.
Here are some of my new tricks.  I have just started figuring out how to suck on my hand and mommy and daddy like to laugh at the noises that I make while I do it. I don't really see why it's so funny, but like most things, anything I do that isn't crying tends to make them smile and act all ridiculous.  Even though I have been smiling for a few weeks now it was just last night that I finally let them take a good picture of it.  Normally I will smile really big and then when they get the camera out I start crying.  I also keep trying to show how strong I am, the pediatrician says I am really strong.  Mommy and daddy think it's because I am so stubborn and love to move around (hence the straight jacket, I mean swaddle, while I sleep!)
Go Dawgs! Good luck tonight!
