ThReE mOnThS

Carolyn is now 3 months old! We can't believe how quickly time has flown!

Here are some stats!

Weight and Height: (unofficial because I didn't have an appointment this month) 24 inches and 13 pounds

Eating: I am feeding 5-6 times a day and love my meal times except the whole burping thing.

Sleeping: Taking one long nap during the day and a few other short naps during the day as well as going to bed between 6 and 7 at night and getting up just once during the night.  I have slept through the night a few times but nothing consistent.  Gave mom quite the scare though when she was woken up by dad's alarm instead of my crying.

Moving: I am moving my arms and legs around like crazy and am almost rolling over but not quite.  I also love spinning the toy around on my bumbo seat and swinging at the play-yard.

Talking: I love making noises and talking.  Screaming and blowing bubbles with my mouth is my new favorite trick.

Sitting: I love sitting in my Bumbo seat and playing with my play-yard.

Toys: I am really getting into rattles, my Sophie giraffe, and play-yard.

Songs: I love the song my daddy sings to me, I won't go through the whole thing but it's starts with "Give me a C-C"... and ends with "Carolyn-lyn, Carolyn-lyn"...  and my other favorite song is called "Daughter" by Loudon Wainwright III. I smile every time I hear them both.

Here are some pics of all I've been up to:

I wasn't really into the whole photo shoot....

I am starting to be a drool queen... I went through two outfits today from all of the drool.

I am getting so good at playing with all of these toys!

I love my baths without the infant net! I think kicking around in the water is a lot of fun!

Visited my first precinct.... everyone thought I was so cute!

Sometimes my parents are so goofy.

Carolyn's Skipping into Spring (ok, not literally)

Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks.  Monthly update next week! :)

Carolyn still doesn't like tummy time....

Chillin' with her stylish shades (too bad it has rained basically every day for a week, we miss the sun)

Concentrating on the play yard...  getting those hands to do what she wants is hard work.

It was bound to happen sooner or later... for years Jeffy has had total access to fluffy stuffed animals, as you can imagine it has caused some confusion.  After a stern lecture he seems to have gotten the message.

Finally starting to realize that she doesn't have to stop smiling when we get the camera out!

We love Sandra Boynton! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Noneman!

Easter PJ's and her Easter basket

Matching dad and Carolyn

Meeting more family

Skyping with Uncle Nick- he was very comical with his commentary that day.

Making Uncle Nick jealous by hanging out with Lexi.

The April birthdays!

Cousins Sophie and Sara

Family picture

Pretty much over it all...

Posing with Noni and Elpa

She can't wait to wear all of her new spring/summer outfits... (I am a little sad that she is moving out of her 0-3 month clothes soon)

(at this point she was over the photo shoot)

It's official- she has discovered the TV which means mommy can't have it on even for background noise.

More updates next week!

Carolyn Week 9

Here are some pictures of Carolyn from last week.

Hanging out in the sun a bit.  She kind of looks like a wizard with her hood up.

She wasn't really sure what to think of all the noise at the Butler rally at Hinkle to celebrate being national runner ups in the NCAA tournament.  I think that was the first time I ever saw her look a little scared! At least she got a good view!

Borders is going out of business (so sad) so we bought her some more books since they are 20% off.  I couldn't believe how picked over they were from just being 10% off but we still got some good ones!

Showing off her leg warmers...

One of my favorite bows for her!

She is loving her little bumbo seat and we are hoping that being upright more will help her head round out soon!

Carolyn 8 Weeks

Carolyn had her 2 month check up today and here are the stats!

Weight: 12 lbs. 2 oz.
Height: 22 inches
Eating: Downing 3-5 oz every few hours during the day
Sleeping: Going to bed between 7 and 8 and sleeping until 2 or 4 in the morning and then going back to bed for another3-5 hours and napping during the day for a total sleep amount of about 15 hours/day.
Smiling: Loves to do it
Cooing: Ditto- Dr. McManus was super impressed with all of her sounds that she was making - duration and variety!
Chewing on her left hand: Nothing better in her book!
Enjoying the swing and vibrating chair: Not as much as we'd hoped. (maybe kid 2 will get us our moneys worth?!?!)
Being carried and held: Thinks it's awesome!
Watching and listening to her mobile: Enjoys it just like her daddy did when he was a baby.
Babysitter: We have had two and she hasn't scared them away so far! :)
Cheering on the Bulldogs: Wouldn't be caught cheering for any other team!

Pictures from what we've (mainly her!) been up to.

Cheering on the Bulldogs in their win against Florida! Final Four Bound!

I believe my dad's quote was "Well, I'll hold her, can't upset her anymore than she already is!" We made a very brief (3.5 hours) to Ft. Fun to see great-grandma Holt and Noni and Elpa (what my parents want to be called) before they left to visit Uncle Nick in Scotland.

Her serious face!
I am sure she's thinking "Seriously? More pictures?" :)

Her smiley face!

Fresh out of the bath!

First Butler rally hosted by the shoppes at 56th & Illinois

BoFo (Butler's President Bobby Fong)  you will be missed!

Hanging out with cousins Courtney and Anna
Fun Fact: We all share the same middle name "Eileen" after our grandma/great-grandma Smith.

If you click on this link it should take you to a video of Carolyn talking or if I finally figured it out you can see it below!

Butler plays tomorrow against VCU. Go Dawgs!
